I knew help was out there, but I just didn’t know where invest. The conferences, the classes, the college courses, the workshops, the working for free as an apprentice; it all sounded great. But we are talking thousands of dollars, or donated labor. I couldn’t leave my farm to work on someone else’s. I couldn’t even leave my farm to travel for an out of town conference. So I ended up spending so much time and money and bootstrap effort just learning everything from scratch, and making tons of mistakes.
